The party starts at 6:00. It promises to be a wonderful evening of food, drink...

The Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma chartered the first Key Club in 1998 at Parkdale Collegiate Institute. This was the beginning of our Service Leadership Program. Since then, three other Key Clubs have been chartered at Harbord Collegiate Institute, Upper Canada College and York Memorial Collegiate Institute. We dedicate funds to support initiatives in our Service Leadership Program: the Divisional Leadership Training Conference, Key Leader, Key Club District Conference and an expanding number of Key Club Scholarships.

The Key Club Divisional Leadership Training Conference is organized by the Lieutenant Governor for members from the 10 Key Clubs in Toronto. Sharing successes and tips for running meetings and fundraisers and volunteer activities help strengthen Key Clubs and motivate members to contribute to school and community. On October 16, The Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma assisted LG Sophia Song hold a successful DLTC for 130 students in the Governor's Room at Liberty Grand, thanks to the generous support of Nick Di Donato, President and CEO of Liberty Entertainment Group.

Key Leader is a weekend program focussing on service leadership. Students learn that leadership comes with helping others succeed. Through discussions, groups and team-building activities, participants learn skills to improve their schools and community, have fun and make friends. Eight Key Club members were sponsored for Key Leader on October 23-25 at the Circle Square Ranch in Brantford.

Every year, we subsidize Key Club members to attend the Eastern Canada District Key Club Convention. In addition to expanding their knowledge of Key Club, students interact with others from across Eastern Canada and experience another Canadian city.
